Welcome to the Forearm and Elbow Vibrational Fascia Release Technique (VFRT) Certification Course. In this comprehensive program, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to effectively apply VFRT for forearm and elbow conditions.

We will begin with an in-depth exploration of the Roles & Responsibilities of the student and therapist, cover the basic understanding of VFRT, and set the stage with basic anatomy of interstitial fluid and fascia. Then, we will cover the primary core skills of an effective therapist and continue with the palpation and application protocols for working on the forearm and elbow of a weighted 128hz tuning fork. Finally, we will cover anatomy, including the bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and blood vessels. Understanding this complex anatomy is crucial for accurate palpation and precise tuning fork placement. You will also learn about common pathologies like Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, Golfer’s Elbow, and Tennis Elbow. We will examine the physiology and typical presentation of these conditions to aid in assessment and treatment.

A key focus of this course is building proficiency in VFRT techniques tailored specifically for the forearm and elbow. You will master advanced skills like scooping, and sliding using the tuning fork to release fascial restrictions and fluid pressure. We will cover proper hand positioning, supportive hand positions, and the use of body position for leverage. You will also learn to pinpoint precise placement locations through palpation feedback.

The muscles and tendons of the forearm mostly support movement and stability of the hand and wrist, so we recommend also purchasing the Hand and Wrist to fully understand those areas where the anatomical structures overlap. The Protocols in this course, however, focus on the physical region of the forearm and elbow regardless of where those structures support.

By the end, you will be able to conduct full VFRT sessions to address client complaints, reduce pain, improve mobility, and resolve common forearm and elbow pathologies. This certification will equip you with the expertise to dramatically improve clients’ forearm and elbow function and quality of life. We look forward to accompanying you on this journey towards becoming a specialist in forearm and elbow VFRT application. Now, let us begin!

Course Instructions:

Click on each page of this course from beginning to end. We recommend learning the content in order, but you are free to follow the curriculum in any order. The protocol portion of this course is located in the Palpation and Application section. The protocols and supporting information for the protocols are included in the course manual.

Once all content has been viewed, take the Final Assessment at the end of the course. Once the assessment has been passed in a minimum score of 80%, the course will be completed provided that all of the lesson pages have been reviewed with green checkmarks (see the left-hand navigation menu). When the Final Assessment has been passed, your completion certification will appear for printing. A copy will also be sent to your email and the certificate can be viewed from your Training Profile.

Contact your instructor Andrew Weaver at andrew.weaver124@gmail.com if you have any questions throughout the course.

For returning students:

If you have completed another VFRT course, the Introduction and Core Skill modules have been provided in all of the Specialty Area VFRT courses so you have this information available for review. The information in these two modules will be included in the final assessment. You do not need to watch all of the videos again, but we recommend reviewing them if it’s been while since the last course. Important: make sure you click on each lesson to mark them as completed prior to taking the final assessment. This can be done by clicking on the button at the bottom of each lesson page.
